  1. By day enjoy the history of 6th Street and by night experience great shows of every music genre. You’re in the Live Music Capital fo the World!
  2. Swim in the naturally fed Barton Springs Pool, a local favorite swimming hole which is open year round and stays a balmy 68 degrees.
  3. Spend a day on the shores of Lake Travis, also known as one of the Highland Lakes, and provides for many activities including fishing, watersports, swimming and picnicking .
  4. Put on your hiking shoes and climb up the 99 stone stairs to one of the most breathtaking views Austin provides on top of Mt. Bonnell.
  5. 351 acres of beautiful park is what you’ll find in the heart of the city in Zilker Park.
  6. Emerge yourself in the college way of life by taking a stroll along Guadalupe St. also known as the Drag.
  7. Take a romantic horse and carriage ride and explore the sights and sounds of downtown Austin.
  8. Cheer on the UT basketball teams, the Austin Toros or catch a concert at the Frank Erwin Center.
  9. Feel like biking, walking, running or canoeing? Head down to Lady Bird Lake, named after former first lady Lady Bird Johnson, and enjoy some fun outdoor activities.
  10. Swim laps or take in a movie on an oversize projector screen while lounging poolside in the spring fed pool at Deep Eddy.
  11. One of my favorite things to do: Shopping! Check out The Domain, an outdoor upscale mall for name brand designers, trendy SoCo District for vintagewear or the 2nd street district for one of a kind boutique shopping.
  12. Take in a round of golf at one of many public golf courses in and around Austin.
  13. Explore caves or take a dip in the Barton Creek Greenbelt which runs through the city and is tons of fun after a big Texas rain.
  14. Bike or rollerblade along the Veloway, a 3.1 mile paved path closed to walker and runners. And let loose!
  15. Tennis anyone? Take in a game at one of many public courts located all around Austin.
