Austin Ranked #1 in Highest-Rated Recovery in U.S.

A rating by the Brookings Institution had Austin, TX ranked 26th in having the best economic recovery worldwide and 1st in the United States. 150 cities were ranked taking employment growth, per-capita gross value added and income per person into consideration.
From 2009 to the present, the employment rate has grown 3.2%. Compare that to the national average which is currently huddling at an unemployment rate of 9.8% and you can see why the population is growing. How much has it grown, you ask? Since 1993 Austin’s population has grown 67% putting us at 1,763,192.
