What a gorgeous beginning to Spring we’re having! Couldn’t ask for better weather… If you’re looking for some fun things to do outdoors, I have a couple of suggestions for you:
The annual Zilker Garden Festival will be taking place at the Zilker Botanical Gardens, Saturday March 26th through Sunday, March 27th. This family friendly event includes “the annual Flower Show in the Garden Center, featuring judged designs and an array of horticultural specimens,
live music from the Soundstage in the Rose Garden – with a variety of musical offerings both afternoons, Gardening Talks under the big, white tent next to the Garden Center, where novice and seasoned gardeners will enjoy talks from local gardening experts, the always fun and interactive Kids’ Corner in the Rose Garden – where kids can build a birdhouse, have their faces painted, make dinosaur masks and butterfly wings and a food court in the Oak Grove on the Escarpment Trail”.

Bright an early (ok, not that early, 9:00 am) Sunday morning, March 27th take part in the largest 10k in Texas, the S*tatesman Capitol 10,000*. Walk, jog or run through downtown Austin with your family and friends, all benefiting the Austin Children’s Shelter and Swim Safe.
